HANDMADE WITH LOVE
Nadya Edwards is a mixed-media artist who creates art that speaks, for those who seek daily life reflection. She finds beauty in the every day & transforms what inspires her into whimsical pieces of art. She uses found objects to make what was old new again. Nadya's love of travel has allowed her to use her photographs in her art, along with her collection of ephemera & sayings to create original, meaningful art.
From Nadya's use of intricate layering, vivid colours & word play in her canvases, to her wanderlust-filled photography, her art provides an escape as well as filling the spaces you spend the most time in with meaning. Her customers relate to her art in the moment; it makes them feel like it indicates who they are or how they feel. It is something they can show in their home as a personal reflection of themselves or give as a gift to someone special.
Nadya offers unique, original mixed-media canvases, greeting cards, prints, handcrafted journals & travel photography on wood & resin. Nadya is self-taught & creates from her home studio in Pefferlaw, Ontario. She exhibits at art shows throughout southern Ontario including past shows at the One of a Kind Show in Toronto. Her work can also be found at the Georgina Art Centre & Gallery, Daylyn in Newmarket, The Social Bridge in Uxbridge, the Coldwater Mill & the Elora Centre For the Arts.
I love Nadya's unique vision and creations. Her journals are my absolute favourite things and her flare for recycling and reusing is so original!
Nadya’s art transports me to a mystical place anytime I need to escape. The extra little details found layered here and there are like secret treasures everywhere in her art. Absolutely love it!
Thank-you Nadya Edwards, for your unique creations. I love the charming and soulful character in all of your work!
