journaling the journey

journaling the journey

Currently, I am on a journal-making frenzy! I was asked to make a large travel journal as a wedding present for newlyweds travelling around the world on their honeymoon. I loved the finished product so much, it gave me a bit of travel fever! I love to re-use old books, tons of ephemera as well as incorporating my art into the pages.

I will have a brand new batch of them November 12 in Uxbridge at the USS Drama Students Fundraiser. Check out my events page for more information.

Currently, my art is also on display at beyondCRAFT at the Latcham Gallery in Stouffville throughout the weekend.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…

We always feel the summer is too short. We try to cram an infinite number of events into a very small, finite time frame. We practice the art of staying up way to late, then sleeping in ’til noon. This summer we had leisurely conversations on the porch eating our first meal of the day as MR CFO came in for lunch. And although the summer was awesome, and I love them to death — it is so nice to get those children out the door & back to school!

Happy WomanI am back on track and creating up a storm! I am very happy to share that my canvases are now available at a lovely little store in Uxbridge called Elemi Organics.  They offer naturally-made aromatherapy products ranging from soaps, bath salts & eco soy wax candles to cleaning products for the home. My kindred spirit, Ms Over-Analzyer, bought me my first Elemi product back when the store opened.

Owner/founder Ginny van Veghel has created a wonderfully, relaxed & tranquil setting in her store and I am so thrilled that my canvases have found a home there!  Just click the images to enlarge!

Here is one of my latest canvases and its corresponding greeting card. Just click the images to enlarge.

Both will soon be in my etsy shop or contact me for further information or custom enquiries.

Although today is a sad anniversary of a horrible day, let us remember, but look forward to tomorrow.
